Is ShelfTrack a free grocery list app?
Yes. You can download ShelfTrack free on Google Play. The free version includes barcode scanning, Ask AI (with fair usage limits), and up to two lists with 40 items each. Pro adds receipt matching, kitchen and expiry tracking, unlimited lists, and more.
Can I share a shopping list with my partner or family?
Yes. Enable live sharing on a list to get a short join code. Others install ShelfTrack, tap Join list, and enter the code. Changes sync while the shared list is open on both phones.
Does ShelfTrack track expiry dates and best-before labels?
With Pro, you can save best-before dates by scanning labels or entering dates manually. ShelfTrack shows items going off soon in a separate section from expired products, so you know what to use first.
Where is my grocery data stored?
Lists, pantry items, and purchase history are stored locally on your Android phone. Optional online features (shared lists, AI, analytics) only send what is needed for those features. Read our privacy policy for details.
Which phones does ShelfTrack support?
ShelfTrack is available for Android on Google Play. You need a camera for barcode and receipt scanning. Microphone access is optional and only used when you add items by voice.
